Poverty Profile in Maluku Province September 2022

Poverty today has become a strategic issue that has received widespread attention, not only from the government but also from academics, observers and even politicians. So far, data relating to poverty is still not available in a comprehensive manner and is able to meet the specific needs of local governments and society in general. Therefore, one of the important aspects that must exist in order to support inclusive and targeted poverty reduction efforts is the availability of poverty data that is accurate and able to answer the needs of formulators and policy makers.The Central Statistics Agency annually releases poverty data twice, namely poverty portraits in March and September. This publication was prepared in order to support regional governments and parties who care and are active in poverty alleviation efforts because it not only presents the number and percentage of poor people at the provincial level, but also presents a picture of poverty down to the district/city level.
