Profile of Poverty in Maluku Province 2016

Poverty today has become one of the strategic issues that have received widespread attention not only from the government but also from academics, observers and even politicians. So far, poverty-related data is not yet comprehensively available and able to meet the specific needs of local governments as well as society in general. Therefore, one important aspect that must exist in order to support inclusive and targeted poverty alleviation efforts is the availability of accurate poverty data and able to address the needs of the formulator and policy makers. The Central Bureau of Statistics annually releases poverty data twice, the portrait of poverty in March and September. This publication is structured in the context of supporting local governments as well as concerned and concerned parties in poverty alleviation efforts because it not only presents the number and percentage of the poor, but also contains the depth and severity of poverty that occurs and comes with a poor household profile September 2016.
