Maluku Province Poverty Profile 2020

Poverty is currently one of the strategic issues that has received widespread attention, not only from the government but also from academics, observers and even politicians. So far, data related to poverty are still not available comprehensively and are able to meet the specific needs of local governments and society in general. Therefore, one of the important aspects that must be in place in order to support efforts to reduce poverty that is inclusive and on target is the availability of accurate poverty data and is able to answer the needs of formulators and policy makers.The Central Statistics Agency annually publishes poverty data twice, namely poverty portraits in March and September. This publication is prepared in order to support local governments and parties who are concerned and active in poverty alleviation efforts because it not only presents the number and percentage of poor people at the provincial level, but also presents an overview of poverty up to the district/city level.
