Profile of Poverty in Maluku Province 2017

Poverty is now one of the strategic issues that has received widespread attention, not only from the government but also from academics, observers and even politicians. So far, data related to poverty is still not available comprehensively and is able to meet the specific needs of local governments and the general public. Therefore, one of the important aspects that must exist in order to support inclusive and targeted poverty reduction efforts is the availability of accurate poverty data that is able to answer the needs of formulators and policy makers.

The Central Statistics Agency annually releases poverty data twice, namely portraits of poverty in March and September. This publication is prepared in order to support local governments and those who care and are active in poverty alleviation efforts because they not only present the number and percentage of poor people, but also contain the level of depth and severity of poverty that occur and are equipped with poor household profile conditions September 2017
