Abstract

  • The percentage of poor people in September 2022 was 16.23 percent, up 0.26 percentage points from March 2022 and down 0.07 points from September 2021.
  • The number of poor people in September 2022 was 296.66 thousand people, an increase of 6.09 thousand people compared to March 2022 and an increase of 1.69 thousand people as of September 2021.
  • The percentage of urban poor population in March 2022 was 5.82 percent, increasing to 5.90 percent in September 2022. Meanwhile the percentage of rural poor population in March 2022 was 23.50 percent, increasing to 24.54 percent in September 2022.
  • Compared to March 2022, the number of urban poor people in September 2022 increased by 2.96 thousand people (from 45.12 thousand people in March 2022 to 48.08 thousand people in September 2022). Meanwhile, in the same period, the number of poor people in rural areas increased by 3.12 thousand people (from 245.45 thousand people in March 2022 to 248.57 thousand people in September 2022).
  • The Poverty Line in September 2022 was recorded at IDR 672,456/capita/month with a composition of the Food Poverty Line of IDR 496,691 (73.86 percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line of IDR 175,765 (26.14 percent).
  • In September 2022, on average, poor households in Maluku have 5.42 household members. Thus, the average poverty line per poor household is IDR 3,644,712/poor household/month.
