Abstract

  • The percentage of poor people in September 2021 was 16.30 percent, decreased by 1.57 percentage points against March 2021 and decreased by 1.70 percentage points against September 2020.
  • The number of poor people in September 2021 was 294.97 thousand people, a decrease of 26.84 thousand people from March 2021 and a decrease of 27.43 thousand people from September 2020.
  • The percentage of the urban poor in March 2021 was 6.29 percent, down to 6.13 percent in September 2021. Meanwhile, the percentage of the rural poor in March 2021 was 26.96 percent, down to 24.34 percent in September 2021.
  • Compared to March 2021, the number of urban poor in September 2021 decreased by 0.76 thousand people (from 49.78 thousand people in March 2021 to 49.02 thousand people in September 2021). Meanwhile, in the same period the number of rural poor people decreased by 26.09 thousand people (from 272.03 thousand people in March 2021 to 245.94 thousand people in September 2021).
  • The Poverty Line in September 2021 was recorded at Rp605,909/capita/month with the composition of the Food Poverty Line of Rp450,442 (74.34 percent) and the Non-Food Poverty Line of Rp155,467 (25.66 percent) .
  • In September 2021, on average, poor households in Maluku had 6.23 household members. Thus, the size of the Poverty Line per poor household on average is IDR 3,774,813,-/poor household/month.
