The number of poor people in March 2022 was 290.57 thousand people, decreased by 4.40 thousand people from September 2021 and decreased by 31.24 thousand people from March 2021.
The percentage of the urban poor in September 2021 was 6.13 percent, down to 5.82 percent in March 2022. Meanwhile, the percentage of the rural poor in September 2021 was 24.34 percent, down to 23.50 percent in March 2022.
Compared to September 2021, the number of urban poor in March 2022 decreased by 3.90 thousand people (from 49.02 thousand people in September 2021 to 45.12 thousand people in March 2022). Meanwhile, in the same period the number of rural poor people decreased by 0.50 thousand people (from 245.94 thousand people in September 2021 to 245.45 thousand people in March 2022).
