Abstract

The room occupancy rate (TPK) of star hotels in Maluku in September 2024 reached 35.12 percent or decreased by 1.99 points compared to August 2024. When compared to the TPK of star hotels in September 2023 which was recorded at 37.84 percent, the TPK of star hotels in Maluku also decreased by around 2.72 points.
The room occupancy rate (TPK) of other accommodations in Maluku in September 2024 reached 19.15 percent or increased by 1.19 points compared to August 2024.
The average length of stay of foreign guests in star hotels in Maluku in September 2024 was 1.96 days or increased by 0.10 points compared to August 2024. When compared to the same period in 2023, there was also a decrease in the average length of stay of foreign guests by 0.18 points.
The average length of stay of domestic guests in star hotels in Maluku in September 2024 was 1.79 days or an increase of 0.12 points compared to August 2024. When compared to the same period in 2023, there was also an increase in the average length of stay of domestic guests of around 0.12 points. In September 2024, domestic tourist trips (wisnus) from Maluku province reached 143.60 thousand trips. This number increased by 10.88 percent compared to August 2023 (month-to-month) and increased by 119.91 percent compared to the same month last year (year-on-year). In September 2024, Ambon was recorded as the area with the highest number of domestic tourist trips, both as the area of origin and as the destination area.
