Abstract

The room occupancy rate (TPK) of star hotels in Maluku in July 2024 reached 40.07 percent or increased by 2.00 points compared to June 2024. When compared to the TPK of star hotels in July 2023 which was recorded at 37.60 percent, the TPK of star hotels in Maluku increased by around 2.47 points.
The room occupancy rate (TPK) of other accommodations in Maluku in July 2024 reached 18.60 percent or decreased by 2.38 points compared to June 2024.
The average length of stay of foreign guests in star hotels in Maluku in July 2024 was 2.19 days or increased by 0.31 points compared to June 2024. When compared to the same period in 2023, on the other hand, there was a decrease in the average length of stay of foreign guests by 1.87 points.
The average length of stay of domestic guests in star hotels in Maluku in July 2024 was 1.84 days or an increase of 0.09 points compared to June 2024. When compared to the same period in 2023, on the contrary, there was a decrease in the average length of stay of domestic guests of around 0.09 points. In July 2024, domestic tourist trips (wisnus) from Maluku province reached 141.45 thousand trips. This number increased by 5.89 percent compared to June 2023 (month-to-month) and increased by 79.45 percent compared to the same month last year (year-on-year). In July 2024, Ambon was recorded as the area with the highest number of domestic tourist trips, both as the area of origin and as the destination area.
