Abstract

The room occupancy rate (TPK) of star hotels in Maluku in October 2024 reached 41.85 percent or increased by 6.73 points compared to September 2024. When compared to the TPK of star hotels in October 2023 which was recorded at 41.53 percent, the TPK of star hotels in Maluku also increased by around 0.32 points.
The room occupancy rate (TPK) of other accommodations in Maluku in October 2024 reached 20.93 percent or increased by 1.78 points compared to September 2024.
The average length of stay of foreign guests in star hotels in Maluku in October 2024 was 2.04 days or increased by 0.08 points compared to September 2024. When compared to the same period in 2023, on the other hand, there was a decrease in the average length of stay of foreign guests by 0.72 points.
The average length of stay of domestic guests in star hotels in Maluku in October 2024 was 1.78 days or down 0.01 points compared to September 2024. When compared to the same period in 2023, on the contrary, there was an increase in the average length of stay of domestic guests of around 0.06 points. In October 2024, domestic tourist trips (wisnus) from Maluku province reached 142.73 thousand trips. This number decreased by 0.61 percent compared to September 2023 (month-to-month) and increased by 85.43 percent compared to the same month last year (year-on-year). In October 2024, Ambon was recorded as the area with the highest number of domestic tourist trips, both as the area of origin and as the destination area.
