Abstract
The
number of poor (people whose monthly expenditure is below the Poverty Line) in
Maluku in March 2017 amounted to 320.51 thousand people (18.45 percent).
Compared with the poor population in September 2016 as many as 331.79 thousand
people (19.26 percent), the poverty rate in Maluku Province decreased by 0.81
points and in terms of the number of poor people was reduced by 11,280
inhabitants.
When compared between the
same month in the previous year (March 2017 and March 2016), the poverty rate
of Maluku Province decreased by 0.73 points (March 2017 by 18.45 percent, March
2016 by 19.18 percent). In terms of number, the poor are reduced by 7,210
people (March 2017 as much as 320.51 thousand inhabitants, March 2016 as many
as 327,72 thousand inhabitants).
