Abstract

In September 2024, the expenditure inequality of the population in Maluku, as measured by the Gini Ratio, was 0.291. This figure increased by 0.009 points compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2024, which was 0.282.
The Gini Ratio in urban areas in September 2024 was 0.284, up from 0.277 in March 2024. \
In rural areas, the Gini Ratio in September 2024 was 0.236, up from 0.233 in March 2024.
According to the World Bank's inequality measure in September 2024, the expenditure distribution for the bottom 40 percent was 22.64 percent. This indicates that the expenditure of the population in September 2024 was in the low inequality category. When broken down by region, the figure was 22.93 percent in urban areas and 25.55 percent in rural areas, both of which fall into the low inequality category.
