Abstract

  • Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
  • NTP is one of the indicators to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange rate (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed or for production costs.
  • The Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) of Maluku Province in September 2024 was 98.04 or down 1.89 percent compared to August 2024 which was recorded at 99.93. The decrease in NTP was caused by the agricultural production price index (It) which was recorded to have decreased by 1.99 percent and a decrease in the price index paid by farmers (Ib) which was recorded at 0.10 percent.
  • In September 2024, Maluku Province was ranked 38th out of 38 provinces with an NTP of 98.04. The highest NTP occurred in Bengkulu Province at 190.15; while the lowest NTP occurred in Maluku Province at 98.04.
  • It was recorded that all sub-sectors experienced a decrease in NTP, namely the food crops sub-sector (-0.98 percent), horticulture sub-sector (-1.85 percent), people's plantation sub-sector (-2.73 percent), livestock sub-sector (-0.98 percent), and fisheries sub-sector (-1.01 percent).
  • In September 2024, there was a decrease in IKRT by 0.11 percent.
  • The NTUP of Maluku Province in September 2024 decreased by 2.02 percent compared to August 2024, namely from 109.32 to 107.11
