Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is an indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchangeability (terms of trade) of agricultural products for goods and services consumed and for production costs.
The Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) for Maluku Province in February 2024 was 103.33 or down 1.73 percent compared to January 2024 which was recorded at 105.15. The decline in NTP was caused by the agricultural production price index (It) which was recorded to have fallen by 1.25 percent and an increase in the price index paid by farmers (Ib) which was recorded at 0.49 percent.
In February 2024, Maluku Province was in 30th place out of 38 provinces with an NTP of 103.33. The highest NTP occurred in Bengkulu Province at 162.96; while the lowest NTP occurred in East Nusa Tenggara Province at 97.43.
It was recorded that all subsectors experienced a decline in NTP, namely the food crops subsector (-1.13 percent), the horticulture subsector (-4.74), the smallholder plantation crops subsector (-1.55 percent), the livestock subsector (-0.23 percent) and fisheries subsector (-0.93 percent).
In February 2024 there will be an increase in IKRT of 0.53 percent.
Maluku Province's NTUP in February 2024 decreased by 1.31 percent compared to January 2024, namely from 112.75 to 111.27.
