Abstract

Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the index of price paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
The Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) of Maluku Province in August 2022 was 105.42, down 0.05 percent compared to July 2022 which was recorded at 105.47. The decrease in NTP was caused by the price index of agricultural production (It) which recorded an increase of 0.25 percent and the increase in the price index purchased by farmers (Ib) which exceeded It by 0.30 percent.
In August 2022, Maluku Province was in 18th place out of 34 provinces with an NTP of 105.42. The highest NTP occurred in West Kalimantan Province at 133.71; while the lowest NTP occurred in East Nusa Tenggara Province at 94.48.
There is one sub-sector that experienced an increase in FTT, namely the smallholder plantation sub-sector by 0.31 percent. Meanwhile, four other sub-sectors experienced a decrease in FTT, namely the food crops sub-sector (-0.13 percent), the horticulture sub-sector (-0.34 percent), the livestock sub-sector (-1.04 percent) and the fisheries sub-sector (-0.38 percent).
In August 2022, there was an increase in household household size by 0.32 percent.
The NTUP of Maluku Province in August 2022 increased by 0.06 percent compared to July 2022, from 113.51 to 113.58.
