Abstract

Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the index of price paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
The Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) of Maluku Province in May 2022 was 104.30 or decreased by 1.57 percent compared to April 2022 which was recorded at 105.96. The decrease in NTP was caused by the price index of agricultural production (It) which decreased by 1.13 percent and the increase in the price index purchased by farmers (Ib) by 0.44 percent.
In May 2022, Maluku Province was ranked 21st out of 34 provinces with an NTP of 104.30. The highest NTP occurred in West Kalimantan Province at 138.05; while the lowest NTP occurred in the province of Bali at 93.85.
There are three sub-sectors that experienced a decrease in FTT, namely the horticulture sub-sector (-6.96 percent), the people's plantation sub-sector (-1.82 percent), and the livestock sub-sector (-0.43 percent). Meanwhile, two other sub-sectors experienced an increase in FTT, namely the food crops sub-sector (0.02 percent) and the fisheries sub-sector (2.61 percent).
In May 2022 there was an increase in IKRT of 0.43 percent.
The NTUP of Maluku Province in May 2022 decreased by 1.57 percent compared to April 2022, from 112.60 to 110.83.
