Abstract

Farmers Terms of Trade (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange power (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
The Maluku Province Farmers' Exchange Rate (NTP) in November 2022 was 104.81, down 0.07 percent compared to October 2022 which was recorded at 104.88. The decline in FTT was caused by the price index for agricultural production (It) which was recorded to have fallen by 0.21 percent and the price index paid by farmers (Ib) by 0.14 percent.
In November 2022 Maluku Province was in 17th place out of 34 provinces with a NTP of 104.81. The highest NTP occurred in Riau Province at 151.97; while the lowest NTP occurred in East Nusa Tenggara Province at 95.98.
Four sub-sectors recorded a decline in NTP, namely the food crops sub-sector (-0.49 percent), the Horticulture sub-sector (-1.77 percent), the livestock sub-sector (-0.25 percent) and the fisheries sub-sector (-0.37 percent). Meanwhile, the smallholder plantation sub-sector experienced an increase in NTP of 0.75 percent.
In November 2022 there was a decrease in IKRT by 0.18 percent.
Maluku Province's NTUP in November 2022 decreased by 0.38 percent compared to October 2022, namely from 111.98 to 111.56.
