Abstract

In March 2022, out of 90 CPI cities in Indonesia, 88 cities experienced inflation and 2 cities experienced deflation.
The highest inflation occurred in Merauke City at 1.86 percent. The lowest inflation occurred in Kupang City at 0.09 percent. The highest deflation occurred in Tual City at 0.27 percent. The lowest deflation occurred in Kendari City, at 0.07 percent.
Ambon City experienced inflation of 0.48 percent with a CPI of 110.2. Tual City experienced a deflation of 0.27 percent with a CPI of 109.02.
Of the 90 CPI cities, Ambon City's CPI ranking dropped to 22. Tual City's CPI ranking also dropped to 44th. Ambon City's monthly inflation was ranked 74th, calendar year inflation ranked 81st, year-on-year inflation ranked 7th. Tual City's monthly inflation ranked 90th, calendar year inflation ranked 90th, year-on-year inflation ranked 82nd.
The 10 (ten) main commodities that experienced price increases or contributed to the biggest contribution to inflation in Ambon City in March 2022 include: air transportation, cayenne pepper, shallots, raw tofu, gold jewelry, beans, logs, powdered milk for toddlers, onions white and rice.
The 10 (ten) commodities that experienced price declines in March 2022 and contributed the most to the deflation of Tual City were: baronang fish, air transportation, scad fish, tuna, red snapper, broiler eggs, mackerel, green mustard, cucumber, and tea.
