Abstract

In October 2021, out of 90 CPI cities in Indonesia, 68 cities experienced inflation and 22 cities experienced deflation.
The highest inflation occurred in Sampit City at 2.06 percent. The lowest inflation occurred in Banyuwangi City and Sumenep City at 0.02 percent. The highest deflation occurred in Kendari City at 0.70 percent. The lowest deflation occurred in Bengkulu City at 0.02 percent.
Ambon City experienced inflation of 0.23 percent with a CPI of 107.70. Tual City experienced a deflation of 0.56 percent with a CPI of 108.94.
Of the 90 CPI cities, Ambon City's CPI ranking rose to 20th position. Tual City's CPI ranking dropped to 7th position. -44. Tual City's monthly inflation is at 89th position, calendar year inflation is at 7th position, and year-on-year inflation is at 7th place.
The 10 (ten) main commodities that experienced price increases or contributed to the biggest contribution to inflation in Ambon City in October 2021 include: air transportation, cayenne pepper, red chili, cooking oil, sweet bread, scad fish, zinc, spinach, concrete iron, and lemons.
10 (ten) commodities that experienced price declines in October 2021 and contributed the largest to the deflation of Tual City were: tuna, air transportation, selar fish, water spinach, bean sprouts/sprouts, flying fish, cars, cassava leaves, tomatoes, and papaya flowers. .
