Abstract

The horticultural subsector contributes to the Maluku economy reached 250.736,90 million in 2017, but only contributed 0,63 percent of Maluku’s Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP). Meanwhile, from the total value added of the agricultural sector which reached 9.491.966,11 million rupiahs, the horticultural subsector only contributed about 2,64 percent. Development in the horticultural subsector not only aims to increase production but also to improve the welfare of farm households. So, availability data that can describe the profile of horticulture farmers, the cost structure of horticultural commodities, and the characteristics of horticulture households is essential.
