Abstract

The number of workers based on the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) in August 2024 was 966,813 people, an increase of 56,055 people compared to August 2023. The Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) increased by 2.92 percentage points.
The working population was 907,713 people, an increase of 54,459 people from August 2023. The employment sector that experienced the largest increase was the Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries category by 18,738 people.
A total of 590,337 people (65.04 percent) worked in informal activities, down 0.39 percentage points compared to August 2023.
The percentage of underemployed increased by 1.69 percentage points compared to August 2023. Meanwhile, the percentage of part-time workers decreased by 0.49 percentage points in the same period.
The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in August 2024 was 6.11 percent, down 0.20 percentage points compared to August 2023.
