Abstract

In May 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation occurred in Maluku Province of 3.21 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.37. The highest inflation occurred in Ambon City at 4.61 percent with a CPI of 108.32 and the lowest occurred in Central Maluku Regency at 1.01 percent with a CPI of 103.07.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in 10 expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 4.56 percent; health group by 4.50 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 4.42 percent; personal care and other services group at 4.08 percent; transportation group at 3.76 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 2.63 percent; education group by 1.65 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 1.49 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 1.46 percent; and the clothing and footwear group at 1.08 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: information, communication and financial services groups by 0.15 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate for Maluku Province in May 2024 is 1.89 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) inflation rate is 0.69 percent

September 2024 Year On Year (Y-On-Y) Inflation In Maluku Province Was 1.79 Percent. The Highest Inflation Occurred In Ambon City At 2.66 Percent.
