Abstract

In April 2024, year on year (y-on-y) inflation occurred in Maluku Province of 2.43 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 104.40. The highest inflation occurred in Ambon City at 2.83 percent with a CPI of 105.56 and the lowest occurred in Central Maluku Regency at 1.81 percent with a CPI of 102.31.
Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in 10 expenditure group indices, namely: food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 4.28 percent; health group at 3.64 percent; food, beverage and tobacco group at 3.58 percent; personal care and other services group at 3.53 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 2.69 percent; education group of 1.66 percent; transportation group by 1.53 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 1.35 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group of 1.06 percent; and the clothing and footwear group at 0.54 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index were: information, communication and financial services groups by 0.12 percent.
The month to month (m-to-m) inflation rate for Maluku Province in April 2024 was 0.29 percent and the year to date (y-to-d) deflation rate was 1.17 percent.

February 2024, Year On Year (Y-On-Y) Inflation In Maluku Province Will Be 3.02 Percent. The Highest Inflation Occurred In Central Maluku Regency At 3.26 Percent
