Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is an indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchangeability (terms of trade) of agricultural products for goods and services consumed and for production costs.
The Maluku Province Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) in December 2023 was 105.86 or down 0.46 percent compared to November 2023 which was recorded at 106.35. The decline in NTP was caused by the agricultural production price index (It) which was recorded to have fallen by 0.25 percent and an increase in the price index paid by farmers (Ib) which was recorded at 0.21 percent.
In December 2023, Maluku Province is in 27th place out of 34 provinces with an NTP of 105.86. The highest NTP occurred in Bengkulu Province at 158.41; while the lowest NTP occurred in East Nusa Tenggara Province at 98.46.
It was recorded that three subsectors experienced a decline in NTP, namely the food crops subsector (-1.03 percent), the smallholder plantation crops subsector (-0.57 percent) and the fisheries subsector (-0.81 percent). Meanwhile, two other subsectors experienced an increase in NTP, namely the horticulture subsector (0.50 percent) and the livestock subsector (0.70 percent).
In December 2023, the IKRT will increase by 0.23 percent.
Maluku Province's NTUP in December 2023 decreased by 0.43 percent compared to November 2023, namely from 113.07 to 112.58.
