Maluku's exports in August 2023 reached US$ 0.98 million or decreased by around 83.58 percent compared to July 2023.
Cumulatively, Maluku's export value from January to August 2023 was US$ 47.33 million or a decrease of around 2.67 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
Maluku's exports in August 2023 will come from the non-oil and gas sector.
Maluku's export destination countries in August 2023 are Singapore, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Japan and the United States. The largest export was to Vietnam worth US$ 0.29 million.
The total export value of commodities from Maluku exported from ports outside Maluku in August 2023 reached US$ 1.68 million or down 72.56 percent compared to July 2023.
Cumulatively, the export value of commodities from Maluku exported through ports outside Maluku from January to August 2023 reached US$ 31.55 million or an increase of around 47.18 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
Maluku imports in August 2023 reached US$ 27.64 million or an increase of around 59.03 percent compared to imports in July 2023 (US$ 17.38 million).
Cumulatively, the import value from January to August 2023 reached US$ 150.72 million or an increase of around 14.03 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
During January to August 2023, the countries of origin for Maluku imports are Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam and China. The largest import came from Singapore with a value of US$ 108.68 million.
Commodities imported are in the oil and gas and non-oil and gas sectors.
Imports from January to August 2023 via Yos Sudarso Port, Pattimura Airport in Ambon and Wahai Port in Central Maluku.
