Maluku's exports in May 2023 reached US$ 6.49 million, an increase of around 21.95 percent compared to April 2023.
The cumulative export value of Maluku from January to May 2023 was US$ 23.77 million or an increase of around 68.32 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
Maluku exports in May 2023 come from the non-oil and gas sector.
Maluku's export destination countries in May 2023 are Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, China and Australia. The largest export to China was US$ 5.57 million.
The total export value of commodities from Maluku that were exported from ports outside Maluku in May 2023 reached US$ 9.05 million, an increase of 409.02 percent compared to April 2023.
The cumulative export value of commodities from Maluku that were exported through Maluku outer ports from January to May 2023 reached US$ 22.54 million or an increase of around 103.25 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
Maluku's imports in May 2023 reached US$ 27.20 million, an increase of around 156.67 percent compared to imports in April 2023 (US$ 10.60 million).
Cumulatively, the value of imports from January to May 2023 reached US$ 89.09 million, a decrease of around 17.82 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
During January to May 2023, the countries of origin for Maluku imports are Singapore, Malaysia and China. The biggest import came from Singapore with a value of US$ 58.94 million.
The imported commodities are in the oil and gas and non-oil and gas sectors.
Import from January to May 2023 through Yos Sudarso Port in Ambon and Wahai Port in Central Maluku.
