Abstract

In November 2022, out of 90 CPI cities, it was recorded that all CPI cities experienced year on year (yoy) inflation (November 2022 to November 2021). The highest yoy inflation occurred in Tanjung Selor City which experienced yoy inflation of 9.20 percent with a CPI of 113.02 and the lowest yoy inflation occurred in Ternate City which experienced yoy inflation of 3.26 percent with a CPI of 110.96.
Ambon City experienced yoy inflation of 6.65 percent with a CPI of 116.17. Yoy inflation in Ambon City occurred due to price increases as indicated by an increase in the index in 10 expenditure groups, namely the highest in the transportation group of 15.13 percent; and the lowest was in the education group of 0.59 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that experienced deflation was the information, communication and financial services group by 0.32 percent.
Tual City experienced yoy inflation of 5.18 percent with a CPI of 114.40. Yoy inflation in Tual City occurred due to price increases as indicated by an increase in index in 9 expenditure groups, namely the highest in the transportation group at 19.99 percent; and the lowest was in the education group of 0.24 percent. Meanwhile, the 2 expenditure groups that experienced deflation were the highest in the health group at 2.08 percent and the lowest in the information, communication and financial services group at 0.29 percent.
Month to month (mtm) inflation rate (November 2022 to October 2022) Ambon City experienced inflation of 1.15 percent, while Tual City experienced inflation of 0.84 percent.
Year to date (ytd) inflation rate (November 2022 to December 2021) Ambon City experienced inflation of 5.81 percent, while Tual City experienced inflation of 3.68 percent.
