Abstract

  • Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the index of price paid by farmers (Ib).
  • NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
  • The Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) of Maluku Province in October 2022 was 104.88, an increase of 0.48 percent compared to September 2022 which was recorded at 104.39. The increase in NTP was caused by the price index of agricultural production (It) which recorded an increase of 0.52 percent and an increase in the price index purchased by farmers (Ib) by 0.04 percent.
  • In October 2022, Maluku Province was in 19th place out of 34 provinces with an NTP of 104.88. The highest NTP occurred in Riau Province at 143.86; while the lowest NTP occurred in East Nusa Tenggara Province at 95.83.
  • All sub-sectors experienced an increase in FTT, namely the food crops sub-sector (1.21 percent), the Horticulture sub-sector (0.71 percent), the people's plantation sub-sector (0.15 percent), the livestock sub-sector (0.03 percent) and the fisheries sub-sector (0 ,41 percent).
  • In October 2022 there was an increase in IKRT by 0.01 percent.
  • The NTUP of Maluku Province in October 2022 increased by 0.13 percent compared to September 2022, from 111.84 to 111.98.
