Abstract

  • Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the index of price paid by farmers (Ib).
  • NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
  • The Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) of Maluku Province in October 2021 was 102.94 or an increase of 0.79 percent compared to September 2021 which was recorded at 102.13. The increase in NTP was caused by the price index of agricultural production (It) which was recorded to increase by 0.54 percent and the decrease in the price index purchased by farmers (Ib) by 0.25 percent.
  • In October 2021, Maluku Province was ranked 22nd out of 34 provinces with an NTP of 102.94. The highest NTP occurred in Riau Province at 144.90; while the lowest NTP occurred in the province of Bali at 93.40.
  • There is one sub-sector that experienced an increase in FTT, namely the smallholder plantation sub-sector (2.80 percent). Meanwhile, four other sub-sectors experienced a decrease in FTT, namely the food crops sub-sector (-0.57 percent), the horticulture sub-sector (-1.52 percent), the livestock sub-sector (-0.96 percent), and the fisheries sub-sector (-0.70 percent). .
  • In October 2021, there was a 0.31 percent decrease in household household size.
  • The NTUP of Maluku Province in October 2021 increased by 0.32 percent compared to September 2021, from 107.87 to 108.22.
