The Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) in Maluku Province in June 2022 was 104.95, an increase of 0.62 percent.

Abstract

  • Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the index of price paid by farmers (Ib).
  • NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
  • The Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) of Maluku Province in June 2022 was 104.95, an increase of 0.62 percent compared to May 2022 which was recorded at 104.30. The increase in NTP was caused by the price index of agricultural production (It) which was recorded to increase by 1.21 percent and the increase in the price index purchased by farmers (Ib) by 0.58 percent.
  • In June 2022, Maluku Province was in 20th place out of 34 provinces with an NTP of 104.95. The highest NTP occurred in West Kalimantan Province at 137.59; while the lowest NTP occurred in East Nusa Tenggara Province at 94.82.
  • There are two sub-sectors that experienced an increase in FTT, namely the horticultural crops sub-sector (0.85 percent) and the smallholder plantation sub-sector (1.81 percent). Meanwhile, three other sub-sectors experienced a decline in FTT, namely the food crops sub-sector (-1.48 percent), the livestock sub-sector (-0.04 percent), and the fisheries sub-sector (-0.05 percent).
  • In June 2022 there was an increase in IKRT of 0.63 percent.
  • The NTUP of Maluku Province in June 2022 increased by 1.08 percent compared to May 2022, from 110.83 to 112.02.
