The Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) of Maluku Province in December 2021 was 104.16, an increase of 0.38 percent.

Abstract

  • Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) is the ratio of the price index received by farmers (It) to the index of price paid by farmers (Ib).
  • NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the terms of trade (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
  • The Farmer's Exchange Rate (NTP) of Maluku Province in December 2021 was 104.16 or an increase of 0.38 percent compared to November 2021 which was recorded at 103.77. The increase in NTP was caused by the price index of agricultural production (It) which recorded an increase of 0.84 percent, exceeding the increase in the price index purchased by farmers (Ib) of 0.46 percent.
  • In December 2021, Maluku Province was ranked 21st out of 34 provinces with an NTP of 104.16. The highest NTP occurred in Riau Province at 152.18; while the lowest NTP occurred in the province of Bali at 94.77.
  • There are three sub-sectors that experienced an increase in FTT, namely the food crops sub-sector (0.66 percent), horticulture (1.40 percent), and the fisheries sub-sector (2.07 percent). Meanwhile, two other sub-sectors experienced a decrease in FTT, namely the people's plantation sub-sector (-0.32 percent) and the livestock sub-sector (-0.16 percent).
  • In December 2021, there will be an increase in IKRT of 0.50 percent.
  • The NTUP of Maluku Province in December 2021 increased by 0.79 percent compared to November 2021, from 108.88 to 109.74
