In September 2021, Ambon City experienced inflation of 0.12 percent. Tual City experienced inflation of 0.07 percent.

Abstract

  • In September 2021, out of 90 CPI cities in Indonesia, 34 cities experienced inflation and 56 cities experienced deflation.
  • The highest inflation occurred in Pangkal Pinang City at 0.60 percent. The lowest inflation occurred in Surakarta City at 0.01 percent. The highest deflation occurred in Gorontalo City at 0.90 percent. The lowest deflation occurred in Palu City at 0.01 percent.
  • Ambon City experienced inflation of 0.12 percent with a CPI of 107.45. Tual City also experienced inflation of 0.07 percent with a CPI of 109.55.
  • Of the 90 CPI cities, the CPI ranking of Ambon City rose to position 21. The CPI ranking of Tual City also rose to position 3. Ambon City's monthly inflation was in the 24th position, calendar year inflation was in 9th position, while year-on-year inflation was ranked 86th. Tual City's monthly inflation is at the 27th position, calendar year inflation is at the 4th position, and year-on-year inflation is at the 5th position.
  • The 10 (ten) main commodities that experienced price increases or contributed to the biggest contribution to Ambon City inflation in September 2021 include: urban transportation, women's blouses, tuna, white cigarettes, filter kretek cigarettes, laptops/notebooks, collarless shirts, bananas, mangoes, and women's overalls.
  • The 10 (ten) commodities that experienced price increases in September 2021 and contributed the most to Tual City's inflation were: tuna, cars, anchovies, sand, logs, academies/universities, filter kretek cigarettes, tomatoes, cooking oil, and cassava leaves.
