Abstract

In October 2020, out of 90 CPI cities in Indonesia, 66 cities experienced inflation and 24 cities experienced deflation.

The highest inflation occurred in Kota Sibolga with 1.04 percent. The lowest inflation occurred in Bekasi City, DKI Jakarta City, Jember City, and Cirebon City with 0.01 percent. The highest deflation occurred in the City of Manokwari at 1.81 percent. The lowest deflation occurred in the city of Surabaya at 0.02 percent.

Ambon City experienced deflation of 0.59 percent with CPI of 105.78, City of Tual also experienced deflation of 0.09 percent with CPI of 105.62.

Out of 90 CPI cities, Ambon City's CPI ranking fell to 12th and Tual City also fell to 15. Ambon City's monthly inflation was ranked 85th, calendar year inflation ranked 72, year-on-year inflation ranked 76. Monthly inflation Tual City is ranked 72nd, calendar year inflation ranks 42, year-on-year inflation ranks 71.

The 10 (ten) main commodities that experienced price declines and contributed the largest to Ambon City deflation in October 2020 include: air transportation, kale, green mustard greens, coconut, eggs, flying fish, tuna, potatoes, long beans, sweet potatoes creepage.

The 10 (ten) main commodities that experienced a price decline contributed the largest to Tual City deflation in October 2020 including: anchovy, tuna, shallots, enbal gepe, cassava leaves, mackerel, papaya flowers, squid, taro, and sweet potatoes.
