The Maluku economy is based on the amount of the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) based on current prices in the second quarter of 2020 reaching 11.45 trillion rupiahs and at the constant prices of 2010 reaching 7.63 trillion rupiahs.
Maluku economy in the second quarter of 2020 experienced a contraction of 0.92 percent (y-on-y). From the production side, the highest contraction was triggered by the transportation and warehousing category of 17.97 percent. From the expenditure side, the highest contraction was the component of foreign imports which contracted by 15.41 percent.
Maluku economy in the second quarter of 2020 experienced a contraction of 2.61 percent (q-to-q). From the production side, the highest contraction was in the transportation and warehousing business fields, namely 18.51 percent. From the expenditure side, the contraction in economic growth was triggered by the component of household consumption expenditure, which experienced a contraction of growth of 1.14 percent.
Maluku's economy in the second quarter of 2020 (c-to-c) grew 1.52 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was in the health services business sector and social activities, namely 7.09 percent. While from the side of the highest expenditure in the component of changes in inventory which grew by 4.87 percent.
