Abstract
The Consumer Tendency Index (ITK) of Maluku Province in quarter III-2018 amounted to 111.82 meaning that the economic conditions of consumers had increased with the level of optimism slowing compared to the previous quarter. The increase in consumer economic conditions was driven by the slowing down of household income (index value 110.37), and the slowing down of the relationship between inflation and daily food consumption (index value 114.61) which affected increased household consumption of food and non-food items (index value 111.75)
National ITK values in quarter III-2018 reached 101.23. If seen by provinces in Sulampua (Sulawesi, Maluku and Papua), it can be seen that as many as 6 (six) provinces in Sulampua have index values above 100, and as many as 4 other provinces have indices below 100. This shows that almost all provinces in Sulampua region has improved economic conditions in quarter III-2018. Provinces with the highest ITK values for this region occurred in Maluku Province with ITK values of 11.82 and the lowest in Central Sulawesi Province which amounted to 96.38.
