The room occupancy rate (TPK) of star hotels in Maluku in August 2018 reached 35.73 percent or decreased by 4.64 points compared to July 2018. Compared to the TPK in August 2017 which was recorded at 41.22 percent, TPK star hotels in Maluku decreased 5 , 49 points. Room occupancy rate (TPK) of non-star hotels in Maluku in August 2018 reached 20.48 percent or decreased 3.11 points compared to July 2018. Compared to the TPK in August 2017 (20.89 percent), TPK of non-star hotels in Maluku decreased 0.41 points.

The number of foreign guests staying at star hotels in Maluku during August 2018 was 440 people, a decrease of 31.89 percent compared to July 2018. While for domestic guests amounted to 7,439 people or a decrease of 19.80 percent compared to July 2018. The number of foreign guests staying in non-star hotels in Maluku during August 2018 there were 64 people, down 42.86 percent compared to July 2018. While for domestic guests amounted to 18,641 people, down 4.12 percent compared to July 2018.
