Abstract
Production of Micro Small Industry (IMK) of Maluku Province in the period of October-December 2017 rose 0.16 percent compared to July-September period. Cumulatively up to December 2017, IMK production of Maluku province increased 17.61 percent compared to the same period last year. This positive growth is supported by production growth in the food, beverage, non-metal, textile (woven), wood and wooden goods, printing and wooden goods, printing and chemicals and chemicals (eucalyptus oil).
During 2017 some IMKs that experienced negative growth were the furniture industry, non-machinery metal goods, rubber and rubber goods, other transportation equipment, apparel and other processing industries. Large and Medium Industries Maluku Province experienced positive growth in the fourth quarter of 2017 of 1.74 percent compared to the previous quarter, and down 0.78 percent over the same period last year. The national industrial sector experienced negative growth compared to the previous quarter on both small and medium scale scale. Y-on-y, national IBS and IMK grow positively.
