Human
development in Maluku in 2016 continues to progress as marked by the
continued increase in the Human Development Index (HDI) of Maluku. In 2016, the Maluku IPM has reached 67.60. This figure increased by 0.55 points compared to the Maluku IPM in 2015 which amounted to 67.05. In 2016, human development in Maluku is still a "moderate" status,
still in 2015. The Maluku IPM in 2016 grew by 0.81 percent compared to
2015. During the period 2015 to 2016, the components of the HDI also increased. Newborns have an opportunity to live up to 65.35 years, an increase of 0.04 years compared to the previous year. 7-year-olds
have an opportunity to go to school for 13.73 years, an increase of
0.17 years compared to 2015. Meanwhile, the population aged 25 years and
over on average have been educated for 9.27 years, increased by 0, 11 years compared to the previous year. The
per capita expenditure (2012 constant price) of the community has
reached 8.215 million rupiahs in 2016, an increase of Rp 189.40 thousand
rupiah compared to the previous year.
