Farmers Terms of Trade (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange power (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
The Maluku Province Farmers' Exchange Rate (NTP) in June 2023 was 104.75 or an increase of 1.33 percent compared to May 2023 which was recorded at 103.38. The increase in NTP was due to the price index of agricultural production (It) which was recorded to have increased by 1.96 percent and the price index paid by farmers (Ib) which was recorded to be 0.62 percent.
In June 2023 Maluku Province was in 25th place out of 34 provinces with a NTP of 104.75. The highest NTP occurred in Riau Province at 145.32; while the lowest NTP occurred in East Nusa Tenggara Province at 96.58.
Four sub-sectors recorded an increase in FTT, namely the horticulture sub-sector (4.45 percent), the smallholder plantation sub-sector (1.84 percent), the livestock sub-sector (0.96 percent) and the fisheries sub-sector (0.97 percent). Meanwhile, the food crops sub-sector experienced a decrease in NTP of 1.11 percent.
In June 2023 there was an increase in IKRT of 0.69 percent.
Maluku Province's NTUP in June 2023 experienced an increase of 1.93 percent compared to May 2023, namely from 110.24 to 112.36.
