Summary :

Farmers Terms of Trade (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).
NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange power (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.
The Farmers' Exchange Rate (NTP) for Maluku Province in March 2023 was 103.16, up 0.06 percent compared to February 2023 which was recorded at 103.10. The increase in FTT was caused by the price index for agricultural production (It), which increased by 0.02 percent and the price index paid by farmers (Ib), which decreased by 0.04 percent.
In March 2023 Maluku Province was in 25th place out of 34 provinces with a NTP of 103.16. The highest NTP occurred in Riau Province at 161.24; while the lowest NTP occurred in East Nusa Tenggara Province at 95.98.
Three sub-sectors recorded an increase in NTP, namely the food crops sub-sector (1.60 percent), the horticulture sub-sector (1.08 percent) and the livestock sub-sector (1.21 percent). Meanwhile, two other sub-sectors experienced a decrease in NTP, namely the smallholder plantation crops sub-sector (-0.43 percent) and the fisheries sub-sector (-2.68 percent).
In March 2023 there was a decrease in IKRT of 0.04 percent.
Maluku Province's NTUP in March 2023 decreased by 0.06 percent compared to February 2023, namely from 108.06 to 107.99.
