Abstract

  • Maluku's exports in January 2023 reached US$ 5.98 million, a decrease of around 74.11 percent compared to exports in December 2022.
  • When compared to exports in January 2022 of US$ 0.96 million, exports in January 2023 experienced an increase of around 522.02 percent.
  • Maluku's January 2023 exports come from the non-oil and gas sector.
  • Maluku's export destination countries in January 2023 are Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, China and Australia. The largest export to China was US$ 5.51 million.
  • The total export value of commodities from Maluku that were exported from ports outside Maluku in January 2023 reached US$ 6.94 million, down 61.48 percent compared to December 2022.
  • When compared to January 2022 (US$ 2.37 million), the export value of commodities from Maluku that were exported from Maluku's outer ports increased 192.56 percent.
  • Maluku's imports in January 2023 reached US$ 18.35 million, an increase of around 7,614.52 percent compared to imports in December 2022 (US$ 0.24 million).
  • When compared to January 2022 imports of US$ 20.21 million, imports in the same period in 2023 decreased by around 9.19 percent.
  • Maluku's imports for the January period came from Singapore, Malaysia and China. The biggest import came from Malaysia with a value of US$ 14.20 million.
