Abstract

  • The number of labor force in February 2022 was 876,813 people. The working population in Maluku in February 2022 was 820,379 people.
  • The Maluku Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) in February 2022 was 63.08 percent. The male LFPR is higher than the female LFPR.
  • The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in February 2022 was 6.44 percent. The TPT in urban areas is higher than in rural areas.
  • During the past year, the category that experienced the largest increase in the percentage of the working population was the Processing Industry Category.
  • In February 2022, 63.79 percent of the population worked in informal activities, and the percentage of informal workers decreased by 3.44 percentage points compared to February 2021.
  • In February 2022, 41.28 percent of the population worked part-time (working hours of less than 35 hours a week) including 13.19 percent of the underemployed and 28.09 percent of part-time workers.
  • There are 52,965 people affected by Covid-19 or 4.19 percent. Consisting of unemployment due to Covid-19 (1,330 people), BAK due to Covid-19 (4,019 people), temporarily not working due to Covid-19 (3,240 people), and working residents who experienced a reduction in working hours due to Covid-19 (49,626 people). .
