March 2021: Maluku's Gini Ratio of 0.314, down from September 2020

Abstract

March 2021 the level of inequality in the expenditure of the Maluku population as measured by the Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.314.
Compared to September 2020, Maluku's Gini Ratio in March 2021 decreased by 0.012 points, September 2020 was recorded at 0.326.
The Gini Ratio in March 2021 in urban areas increased by 0.009 points while rural areas decreased by 0.027 points when compared to September 2020.
In March 2021, the distribution of expenditure for the bottom 40 percent of the population is 21.28 percent. This means that population expenditure is still in the category of low inequality level. If broken down by region, in urban areas the figure was recorded at 21.95 percent and for rural areas the figure was recorded at 24.25 percent. Both belong to the category of low inequality level.
