Development of Farmer Exchange Rates in Maluku Province

Abstract

The Maluku Province Farmer Exchange Rate (NTP) in August 2020 was 95.17, or a decrease of 1.21 percent compared to July 2020 which was recorded at 96.34. The decrease in NTP occurred because the decrease in It of 1.45 percent exceeded the decrease in Ib which was recorded at 0.24 percent.
In August 2020, Maluku Province's NTP was 5.48 points below the National NTP level which was recorded at 100.65. The highest increase in NTP was achieved by Bangka Belitung Province (3.64%) while the highest decrease was achieved by Maluku Province (1.21%).
All sub-sectors experienced a decline in NTP: the horticultural sub-sector (2.54 percent), the fisheries sub-sector (1.62 percent), which was contributed by the decrease in the capture fisheries group (1.63 percent) and the aquaculture group (1.55 percent), the crop subsector. smallholder plantation crops (1.10 percent), livestock sub-sector (0.82 percent), and food crop sub-sector (0.55 percent).
Agricultural commodities that experienced price decline at the farmer level / largest contributor to IT decline: food crops: cassava, unhulled rice, taro, and sweet potato; horticulture: bird's eye chilies, red chilies, tomatoes, oranges, green beans, long beans, shallots, green mustard greens, cabbage / cabbage, chayote, and spinach;. smallholder plantation crops: cloves and nutmeg; livestock: beef cattle, native chickens and pigs; fisheries: tuna, skipjack, tuna, grouper, mackerel, lobster, selar, and pompano.
Maluku Province experienced rural deflation in August 2020 of 0.26 percent, ranking 17th out of 34 Provinces throughout Indonesia. 2 (two) expenditure groups experienced a decline in the IKRT: the Recreation, Sports and Culture group (0.49 percent) and the Food, Beverage and Tobacco group (0.10 percent).
NTUP Maluku August 2020: 99.30 or down 1.39 percent compared to July 2020. NTUP for the livestock sub-sector is in the highest position with an achievement of 104.82
