Abstract
In May 2017 Maluku did not export overseas. When compared to April 2017,
there was a drop in exports by 100.00 percent. Similarly, when compared to May
2016, there was a 100% export decline with May 2016 exports of US $ 0.20
million. The cumulative value of Maluku exports from January to May 2017
reached US $ 18.13 million or an increase of 72.44 percent compared to the same
period in 2016.
During January-May 2017
Maluku export destination countries are Malaysia, Hongkong, USA, Thailand,
Kenya, and Timor Leste. The largest export to Malaysia with a value of US $
17.61 million. Exports to Timor-Leste are cross-border trade activities between
countries. The total export value of Maluku commodities exported from the outer
port of Maluku in May 2017 reached US $ 3.60 million or decreased 4.70 percent
compared to April 2017.
