The poverty rate March 2016 in Maluku province fell as much as 0.17 points

Abstract

          Number of poor (population expenditure per month is below the poverty line) in the Moluccas in March 2016 as much as 327.72 thousand people (19.18 percent). Compared with the poor in September 2015 amounted to 327.77 thousand people (19.36 percent), the poverty rate in Maluku province fell as much as 0.17 points and in terms of numbers, poor population was reduced by 50 people.
           During the period September 2015 s.d. March 2016, the poor in rural areas is reduced 530 people, while in urban areas increased by 480 people. The percentage of poor people in rural areas is still high at 26.82 per cent as compared to urban areas reached 7.66 percent.
         The role of food commodities to poverty line is much greater than the role of non-food commodities (housing, clothing, education, and health). In March 2016, a donation to the Food Poverty Line Poverty Line by 76.80 percent.
