The 2024 Annual Meeting of Bank Indonesia (BI) of Maluku Province which took place at the Ballroom of the Santika Premiere Hotel Ambon, various important figures were present to strengthen synergy in supporting national economic stability. The Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Maluku Province, Maritje Pattiwaellapia, also took part in the meeting which raised the theme "Synergy to Strengthen National Economic Stability and Transformation". This event was attended by the Acting Governor of Maluku, the Forkopimda of Maluku Province, the Regional Secretary, and the heads of OPDs and the Financial Services Authority, in addition to representatives of universities and the banking sector in Maluku. The Acting Governor of Maluku, Sadali Ie, in his remarks also highlighted the importance of increasing synergy at the regional level. He appealed to all stakeholders to work harder in strengthening Maluku's economic resilience. In this post-pandemic situation full of uncertainty, synergy between local governments, communities, and the business world is key to accelerating Maluku's economic revival. "We must improve coordination between sectors to create a conducive climate for investment and economic development," said Sadali Ie.
In addition to being a forum to discuss economic challenges and policies, this event also gave awards to parties that have contributed significantly to the regional economy. BPS Maluku Province received an award as "Strategic Partner Supporting Economic Data for Maluku Province" which was presented directly by the Head of the BI Representative Office for Maluku Province. This award was given as an appreciation for the important role of BPS Maluku Province in providing accurate and relevant economic data, which is greatly needed in planning economic policies and regional development.
This meeting reaffirmed the importance of data-driven decision making in achieving greater economic goals. With the support of reliable data and appropriate policies, Maluku is expected to be able to optimize the potential of the local economy and contribute to an increasingly strong and resilient national economy.
