IMPROVE UNDERSTANDING OF INFLATION AND ECONOMIC GROWTH THROUGH FOCUS GROUP DISCUSSION

Ambon, 11/25 – Located at the Santika Hotel, the Representative Office of Bank Indonesia for Maluku Province invited the BPS of Maluku Province to conduct a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) related to macroeconomic developments in Maluku Province, including Inflation and Economic Growth. In his speech, Rawindra Ardiansah as the Head of the BI Representative Office for Maluku Province said that this FGD is very important to increase understanding of the economic indicators produced by BPS which will later be useful when compiling the Provincial Economic Report (LPP) every quarter.
Starting his presentation, the Head of BPS for Maluku Province, Maritje Pattiwaellapia said that the data produced by BPS is very large but its use is still very minimal by the government. On this occasion, Maritje and her team presented several materials including the methodology for calculating Inflation, GRDP for Business Fields and GRDP for Expenditure.
