Ambon, 30/8 – Maluku Province Central Statistics Agency held a Regional Coordination Meeting for Complete Data Collection on Cooperatives and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises in 2023 (PL-KUMKM2023) which was opened by the Regional Secretary of Maluku Province, Sadali Ie and accompanied by the Head of BPS Maluku Province, Maritje Pattiwaellapia and Head of the Maluku Province Cooperative and MSME Service, M. Nasir Kilkoda. This activity, which was a collaboration with the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, took place at the Santika Premier Ambon Hotel and presented 2 resource persons, namely the Head of the Maluku Province Cooperatives and SMEs Service and one of the UMKM actors, Nike Aritovani, ST as the founder of CV. Nacha.

Maritje in her welcome speech said that the PL-KUMKM 2023 activity was the government's effort to create a Single Database of Cooperatives and MSMEs as a reference for the government in taking policies to increase people's income and the economy with the main aim of obtaining a data profile of Cooperatives and MSMEs operating in various business activities except agricultural businesses. This activity will be carried out by census in 4 districts/cities in Maluku Province, namely the Tanimbar Islands, Central Maluku, West Seram and Tual City, involving approximately 700 officers and will take place from September 15 to October 14 2023.

"The implementation of PL-KUMKM 2023 can be realized and run well if all elements collaborate starting from the Maluku Provincial Government, the Department of Cooperatives and MSMEs both at the provincial level to the district/city level, all stakeholders in regional organizations in Maluku Province, universities, and all elements of society so that support and coordination from all elements is expected, especially the Government and the Cooperatives and MSMEs Department in the 4 Regencies/Cities which are the targets for implementing PL-KUMKM 2023," stressed Sadali, closing his remarks.
