VKOMSTRAT2023, TO GET COCONUT CULTIVATION PROPERTIES IN MALUKU IN 2023

Head of BPS Maluku Province, Maritje Pattiwaellapia, opened the 2023 Coconut and Pepper Plantation Strategic Commodity Survey Officer Training event (VKOMSTRAT2023) at Biz Hotel Ambon (28/08). This activity will last for 2 days effective from the 28th to 29 August 2023 and attended by officers from all BPS districts/cities throughout Maluku Province.

The Komstrat Survey was conducted to obtain the cultivation characteristics and distribution patterns of coconut and pepper commodities carried out by households. Another objective is to obtain the data structure of costs and income from strategic plantation commodity businesses. For Maluku Province, the commodity strategy used for data collection is for households with coconut commodities.

Maritje said in various ways that the data produced by BPS has recently received attention from various parties. There is distrust in the data collected by BPS, mainly because of the quality of the partners who carry out field data collection. Therefore, through this training it is hoped that we can answer user data concerns.

"In this Komstrat training, material will be presented that all officers need to understand by referring to the same guidelines, so that the data collected can be more accurate and of better quality," he continued.
